The dowels (at least in the second link I shared) are removable. I looked up the insulated batting in my Home-Sew catalog, and both of the types I looked at are machine washable. That pattern also has you using a piece of pegboard as a firm base for the carrier, but the pegboard is just slipped in. It can be removed for washing.

Hope I can find time to make a few of these. I love them.

Thanks for visiting my Christmas kitchen!Mrs.Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00392321745556290343noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38583012.post-40058654872016523162015-07-12T17:05:52.198-04:002015-07-12T17:05:52.198-04:00Cute carriers. Nice ideal to pair with a dish, recipes and kitchen items for a gift. happeningswithLanahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11467937856900406297noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-38583012.post-45788235241932099082015-07-12T11:43:42.691-04:002015-07-12T11:43:42.691-04:00With the insulation material and the dowels, this ...With the insulation material and the dowels, this doesn't look like it is machine washable. I guess you just spot clean it if something spills? I love the idea that you can make your own - you can tailor the fabric to any season or event.Pamelahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12488927758678871106noreply@blogger.com
