I love Christmas and the idea of planning and preparing for it all year long! Here's where I'll post recipes, gift and craft ideas, and random thoughts from my Christmas kitchen.

Rudolph Day for October
Just had to show you all this fun little Rudolph Day find!
I was looking through some family Christmas things today and found this. What a perfect find for Rudolph Day!
I just know that this little baby reindeer was my Christmas ornament as a child. Apparently Rudolph was a real trend in the early 1950s, for I had many Rudolph items. This little plastic ornament has a length of red satin ribbon for a hanger.
Here is another view of the reindeer.
In other Rudy Day news, I have enjoyed a couple mugs of Candy Cane Lane tea and am working on a cup of Twining's Christmas Tea. I'll be celebrating Rudolph Day on Friday with our library Christmas Club, so won't do a lot more today. But I think I am going to browse through my Christmas notebook and make a tentative baking list, which I'll share in a day or so.
Happy Rudolph Day!
I had my Rudy day afternoon yesterday. Watched a Christmas movie and wrapped some stocking stuffers. today went stocking-stuffer shopping and bought 2 christmas movies :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you, Lucie! I did get my tentative Christmas baking list made and hope to post that later today.
DeleteLove your little vintage reindeer!

Isn't he so cute, Les? I'm so happy I found him; I hadn't even remembered him, but he was in with a box of white plastic vintage reindeer.
DeleteHow sweet! I love vintage Christmas.
ReplyDeleteMe too, Vicki! So happy that I found this little guy.
