And if, like me, you also have an overflowing Christmas fabric stash in real life, you might be interested in these Ideas for Using Up a Christmas Fabric Stash which I posted several years ago. I think there are nine or ten time-tested ideas here.
Happy sewing (and hoarding)!
Oh, I'm off to read how to use up a fabric stash! An online friend sent me some a few years back and have lots left over.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find some ideas you like, Lucie! I never run out of ideas. I just run out of time to carry them out!
ReplyDeleteI got lucky a few years ago at an estate sale and purchased a box of Christmas fabric for $5. When I got it home, I found dozens of rolls of Christmas fabrics - more than 30 - different yardage amounts and no duplication on the design. Oh my goodness, I will never have to buy Christmas fabric again. Which seemed like a good thing at the time, but now that I have to pass up the new fabrics, it doesn't feel like such a good thing! haha
ReplyDeleteOh my, Vicki, you were blessed indeed with that $5 box of Christmas fabric. I would love to find a deal like that but realistically I am just not sure where I would put it. I bought a couple of pieces this past Christmas season, but I really do need to use up most of my stash before buying more.
DeleteAll I have left is a fabric stash... and I have to use it up before I can buy more fabric. I like making potholders, coasters and bookmarks with leftover fabric.
ReplyDeleteYes, me too. Christmas pot holders are a great idea, and something I've not done. I really should do that. It looks as if I will eventually have a bit more time for Christmas crafting. Sure hope so. I get so much enjoyment from it.
DeleteGorgeous colors!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Pamela!
DeleteI love the foldable fabric basket idea. I can see that by the front door - a place to drop your key, wallet, cell phone.
ReplyDeleteYes, that would be a great idea, Pamela -- one of those foldable baskets by the front door. Might be fun to make one for each season!
