Here is a really nice decorating idea from Lucy at
Craftberry Bush. She made a
pretty Christmas cloche out of a repurposed thrift store clock and a terra-cotta plant pot saucer. I'm not sure how easy to find those clocks would be, but her ideas for what to put inside would work with a purchased cloche as well. The ornament on a snowy base as seen above is so pretty.
And here's another of Lucy's ideas:
The pine cone in snow is so simple, yet lovely.
I don't own a cloche and haven't yet found any clocks to repurpose. I do have a small cake dome that I got at Marshalls for $5 years ago, and I have had fun using that in a cloche-like manner.

Whether you repurpose a clock as Lucy did, improvise with a cake dome as I have done, or even if you own an actual cloche, have fun with these ideas!
Using cloches for decor is one of my favorite things. I use them throughout my home throughout the year. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, Vicki! I love cloches but the only one I own is this repurposed cake dome. I need to try and make my own as Lucy has done here.
DeleteGood idea! Hadn't thought of that... not that I have a glass cake cloche, I have a Tupperware one.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lucie! Glad you like the idea. Hope you have fun with it!
DeleteI have a glass cake dome and have never thought of using it as a cloche. I love your tea cup/teapot idea.
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks, Pamela! Have fun with the idea!
DeleteLove the one with the mini tea set.
ReplyDeleteIsn't that set sweet, Carrie? It was a gift from a friend and I enjoy using it in some way every Christmas.
