Why Christmas in July?

Have you ever wondered about the origins of "Christmas in July"?  I always assumed it was some sort of clever marketing tool,  perhaps based on the fact that in July we are about halfway to Christmas.  I was only partly right, as I learned at Sew4Home today.  They are doing a fun series this week called "Christmas in July with Moda."  Today's post is all about the history of Christmas in July, and it also shows several lovely lines of new Christmas fabric.  You can read all about it here: Christmas in July with Moda.

Later in the week, Sew4Home will be sharing some special small projects and/or tutorials using three pretty lines of Christmas fabric from Moda.  If you love Christmas and like to sew, you won't want to miss this week at Sew4Home!

And, for even more Christmas in July fun, go on over and visit A Debbie-Dabble Christmas!  A list of other Christmas in July bloggers will be found there.  Happy Christmas in July!

  4. Hi Mrs. Smith! Hope you enjoy the links. I'm afraid I am hopelessly addicted to fabric. Sew4Home is one of my favorite resources for sewing ideas and inspiration. You're sure to find some projects you want to try there!
