I had planned to blog nearly every day this month, sharing some Christmas in July posts. Unfortunately, a lightning strike at our place Wednesday night knocked out our phones, internet, power, water, and even my husband's cell phone, which had been plugged in and charging at the time of the strike. We got our power back yesterday afternoon, and the internet and phone this afternoon, but the problem with the water continues. Fortunately, Mr. T had these 2 days off and has been working diligently to correct the problems, but we are not out of the woods yet. I do have another Christmas in July post written and will post it soon. Just wanted to share this much and let everyone know where I've been!
Mrs. T - we love and look forward to your posts but you have more important things to deal with right now! Hope all goes well for you and Mr. T and life returns to normal soon.

So sorry to hear about these problems!
ReplyDeleteHope everything will get back to normal for you soon and we are looking forward to your next Christmas in July post...
hugs,
Debbie
Thanks for the encouragement, ladies! Things are pretty much back to normal now. We are still buying drinking water (and using it in cooking too) but another week or two should settle the water down. We also need to buy one or two new phones, as some of our phones were destroyed in the lightning strike. But things are much improved from what they were a few days ago! We are very thankful nothing caught on fire.
ReplyDeleteWell all of that doesn't sound like much fun! I'm glad Mr. T had some extra time to be home & try to get things back to normal & hopefully you won't have to deal with something like this again for a long time!
ReplyDeleteI hope so too, Mary Ann. It was interesting, I'll say that for it. And we definitely saw God's hand in it all and His encouragement of us through it, even though my hubby was a bit discouraged by the middle of the second day of trying to fix the water. We surely saw God answer prayer for wisdom as we were at the end of our own wisdom.
