A fun little project to make now for gifts

I've shared this project before: Patchwork-look Coasters, but I thought some who are new to my blogs might enjoy trying this simple sewing project.  These coasters make a lovely little gift, tied with a ribbon in stacks of four or six.  If you wanted to, you could add some matching placemats or hot pads for an even nicer gift.  Just click the link above to go to the directions.

These are a great way to use up small scraps of Christmas fabric, but they are great using any fabrics you like.  Make a set for every season, or just to coordinate with someone's dining room.

  1. Very cute! I have some cut pieces left over from the last quilt I made... thanks for showing me a good use for them.

  4. Glad you like them, Debbie! They are truly a fun project and so quick and easy. Maybe tomorrow I can share another project with a similar technique which would make a great stocking stuffer or small gift for ladies, girls or teens on your list. My week got busy and I wasn't able to be in the Christmas kitchen as much as I hoped to be.
