One tiny step toward Christmas prep!

Tomorrow is Rudolph Day for September (the 25th), and although my Christmas preparations and planning are lagging sadly this year, I did take one tiny step forward on Monday.

I ordered my Christmas stamps!

The ones pictured at top -- Holiday Delights -- I ordered just one book of.  Because I really fell in love with the design below, called Winter Scenes:

Aren't they gorgeous?  I think these are just what my Christmas cards need this year.  So serene and classic looking.

And also, just because, I couldn't resist ordering the design below, Mayflower in Plymouth Harbor:

These would be good for any winter occasion, it seems to me.  I just liked them.

Have you taken any steps toward your Christmas preparations?

  1. I have not other than thinking about it. I somehow think this Christmas will be so important with the year and the events of the world. I want to somehow keep the focus on the real meaning.
Both sets of stamps are so pretty.

    1. I think you are so right, Sandy, that this Christmas will be so important. I am also thinking about Thanksgiving and how that will be more important than ever this year. Our governor is already issuing dire warnings concerning Thanksgiving gatherings, but we intend to celebrate well in whatever fashion is possible.

  2. Hi Mrs. T! I was just at the Post Office and saw the first design above. I love them! Also the barn scenes. You reminded me that I can order them ahead. Great Idea! I bought the Mayflower ones to use on my Thanksgiving cards.
I also got all my wrapping supplies organized into one place, and have already enjoyed the ease this brings to wrapping all gifts, not just Christmas ones!

    1. Wow, good for you! You are getting really organized and ahead of the game.

That is a great idea to get all your wrapping supplies organized into one place. Most of my Christmas wrap (but not all) is in the attic. Maybe I can do something similar to make things easier for myself. Thanks for sharing.

  5. I made 18 dozen Peanut Clusters last week and put them in the freezer for Christmas. This week I'm making Pistachio Bread. And picking up the last of my ornaments at Hallmark this weekend. The stamps are lovely!

    1. Oh, good for you, Vicki! I am so thankful you have begun freezing items for Christmas. I need to begin doing the same but am currently on a 40-day sugar fast, so my heart wouldn't really be in it!

  6. The winter scene ones are my favorite.
I'm working on Christmas ornaments for friends and family. We are now in the red zone (green, yellow, orange, red) for covid-19, so might have a change of plans for Christmas. Decided that I would plan something for every day in December for me so I can enjoy the season.

    1. That is a wonderful idea, Lucie! Plan something special for every day for yourself -- and maybe do something special for your family members too -- so you can enjoy the season regardless of what the government and the virus do.
