Layered Mint Candies ~ a Christmas candy recipe to try

Continuing on with my sporadic recipe posts, here is a candy recipe I want to try: Layered Mint Candies.  I'm pretty sure I tried these once a long time ago, but can't remember for certain.  They look good, so I want to give them a try again.  We always buy quite a bit of almond bark when it's on sale after Christmas, so I have the ingredients to try this recipe any time.  These look so pretty and would make a lovely kitchen gift or an addition to a gift basket.

Peppermint Brownies

I'm trying to get back on track posting a few recipes I've seen that I'd like to try for Christmas 2014.  I actually planned to schedule them before our vacation in Nevada, but it just didn't happen.  Then I thought I'd post while we were out there, but that didn't happen either.

These Peppermint Brownies look so scrumptious.  I've made mint brownies many times -- the type where you add a green mint frosting and then a layer of melted chocolate and cut in tiny squares.  But these Peppermint Brownies are quite different and look so festive.  They're going on my "want-to-try" list!
