Bringing Home the Tree

I just had to share a couple of things.  First of all, remember that plate above?  It was a Christmas gift from my wonderful daughter Carrie.  A few weeks later, we were celebrating my birthday at Carrie's home.  As I unwrapped a package, I commented that the box felt like the right size and shape to contain an electric wax or tart warmer.  Carrie was smiling ...

I was right!  I had no idea what the wax warmer would look like, however.   Oh, what fun!  It matches the plates!  Even more fun, the headlights of the station wagon are actually openings where the light can shine through when the wax warmer is in use.

I couldn't resist.  I recently started a new Pinterest board, Bringing Home the Tree.  Head on over and visit if, like me, you never really get enough of Christmas.

  1. Found the plates on one of those sites that has discontinued and hard to find dishware, I have them saved in my cart for when I have a little extra to splurge. That warmer is fabulous! What a lucky find.

My holidays were crazy due to our cross country move - Bringing Home the Tree seems to have been a big hit last year and I am so sorry to have missed it. I hope it comes around again this holiday season. Thanks for stopping by my Happy Homemaker Monday post. Have a great week.

  2. Oh, Pamela, I'm glad you could find the plates. My daughter got the warmer after Christmas on clearance!! Possibly you could find one on Walmart.com. Today I washed up the plates and put them with other Christmas plates inside my hutch. Swooned over them all over again. Love them.

I think Bringing Home the Tree is probably here to stay for awhile. It seems to resonate with a lot of people.

You have a wonderful week as well!
