A warm thank-you to everyone who visited my Christmas Kitchen in 2024, and especially during the busy and wonderful month of December! I hope that each of you will have a happy, healthy, and spiritually prosperous new year.
Isn't the border around the vintage greeting above just precious? Look at all of the little vignettes! I love the skaters, the deer in the woods, and the lighted candle in particular.
I believe that God has already given me a word for the coming year, and will be sharing that once I've had time to get my thoughts in order concerning it. And --like most of us -- I have many goals for the coming year, and I hope to articulate them and blog about them either here or over at my Kitchen Table blog. One of my
goals is to spend more time in my Christmas Kitchen in 2025, sharing
projects, ideas and inspiration with all of you. See you again soon!
Oh, I DO love that border on that Christmas and New Year's greeting card. Yes, I love those vintage designs. Those were such happy times and so much simpler, at least we think they were. I know they worked hard back in those days just getting from here to there by horse and buggy, no phones or computers or TV's to communicate with...they did things the old fashioned way...by hand/letters, cards and VISITS! People just don't visit back and forth like they used to. They'd rather text you than even call! It's too easy to fall into that trap. I miss human communication voice to voice and face to face. I think that is something I am going to work on in the new year...actually spending more in person time with people. I think we are missing something important by not doing that. But I am thankful for this method of communication, or else we wouldn't know each other at all! So there's two sides to everything! Happy New Year! Looking forward to many more happy posts in the future. Looking forward to hearing your new word for the year. Mine is Wisdom. Something we could all use more of in this day and age. Godly wisdom, that is! Amen? Blessings to you and yours.
