Fantastic felt food

Over the past few years I have made lots of felt (and some crocheted) food for Christmas gifts and for other occasions too.  I showed the sugar cookies earlier this month, but I've made lots of other items too.  These fun projects are small and portable and can easily be taken along on vacation to work on wherever you may be.  Best of all, kids love felt food.  If you have kids or grandkids and like to make handmade gifts for them, felt food will likely be a hit!

Hope you've enjoyed this look at some of the felt food I've made.  If you are interested in instructions for a particular food, let me know in the comments and I will add a link to the tutorials I used.  Happy Crafting!

  2. Thanks, Deb, for the kind words! I must say that I wasn't creative enough to design this food by myself; I relied on the creativity of others and various tutorials I've found on line. I've found, too, that at least in my family, little boys enjoy felt food just as much as little girls. My young grandsons have a lot of fun with it. My daughters tell me that the felt food comes out nearly every day.

  4. Thanks, Sandi, for the sweet words! Yes, my little helper is cute ... she lives far away, out west, but she and her brothers have lots of fun with their felt food and play kitchen.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend too!

    God bless,
    Mrs.T

  5. Your felt food is AMAZING and loved by children all over the U.S. How neat is that???

  6. Wow, I guess that is true, isn't it? At least from New England to the Intermountain West! It's so much fun to make, too. I'm getting ready to make some strawberries to have ahead for gift-giving. At some point I intend to tackle making some banana splits. That will probably be the most challenging thing so far!

Glad your kids are enjoying theirs so much! Did I read that their grandparents sent them some, too? They must have a kitchen full!

  7. :) Yes my inlaws sent some too. With all the people that want to play with it it is a good thing there is plenty to go around. They like to play restaurant and they go shopping with their shopping cart. It is really cute. Even my hubby has commented on how adorable the felt food you make is.

  8. Oh, that is so nice that there is plenty of felt food to go around and that the kids are having so very much fun with it. Tell your hubby thanks for me -- I am impressed that a dad would like the felt food too. I like how it looks (or can look) so real and life-size. My grandkids out west were gifted with some wooden food, and that is very nice, but I think the felt food looks so much more real. It's a craft I've been very glad I tried. I had never heard of felt food until Carrie mentioned it to me as something her kids would enjoy.
